It’s been called an exercise in “industrial elegance.”
Clyde originally designed and manufactured cranes, derricks and blocks that weighed more than 100 men could lift. That became the duty of a 60-foot hoist that still remains in the building today. The crane is no longer covered in grease, but rather, cleaned up and painted orange – one of Clyde’s official colors.
Massive I-beams remain exposed as well as huge timber columns. They are however, sanded, painted and varnished. The floor is still concrete that’s buffed to a perfect sheen.
Industrial Elegance. It’s an atmosphere that’s simple, comfortable and tells a story.
