The Beginning

Established in 1889, the original Clyde Iron Works was a steel foundry and manufacturing company. Its reputation for designing and building hoists, derricks and cranes spread across the nation through the early 1900's.

Initially used in the logging industry, Clyde products became instrumental in erecting bridges in Colorado, building dams in North Carolina, constructing tunnels, as well as the Empire State Building, in New York. Today, Clyde Iron Works is a restaurant, bar and event center. It is a gathering place for friends and family.

The 23,000-sq.-ft. building was a three-year restoration project. All the brick is original Clyde. The massive pillars are reclaimed from this, and other buildings on the Clyde property. Virtually all the wood flooring on the second level remains. Even the building¹s crane is still in place.

One step through the doors and you¹re reminded of Clyde's history.
